This framed art quilt was created with the leftover fabric of a much larger quilt of the same subject: the magnolia branch in bloom.  These green Batik fabrics that make up the background were too beautiful to throw away.  I gathered these precious scrapes and recreated this quilt in miniature.  It was a challenge see if I could recreate the original as a miniature, and I had a lot of fun doing it. I used fusible webbing to create the branches and flowers. I added free motion quilting to create movement and texture.   The art piece is made of 100% cotton fabrics, and the stabilizer is 100% polyester.  I hope it brings a touch of nature’s beauty to your home.
