This lone fox is out for a walk on the snowy landscape.  I hand-painted the fox and anchored him to the snow with the technique of free-motion stitching.  The mountains in the background are made with both turned-edge and raw-edge appliques.  The entire piece is heavily quilted throughout with quarter inch spacing or less.  The tree line is fashioned from thousands of stiches using a straight-stitch quilting technique.  I wrapped brown yarn around the edges to finish for a rustic look.  It has hanging loops on the back for hanging.  I hope you enjoy the chilly landscape without getting chilled.  This landscape is inspired by artistDeborah O'Hare  .  The art piece measures approximatly 6 x 12 inches.
