This lone fox is out for a walk on the snowy landscape. I hand-painted the fox and anchored him to the snow with the technique of free-motion stitching. The mountains in the background are made with both turned-edge and raw-edge appliques. The entire piece is heavily quilted throughout with quarter inch spacing or less. The tree line is fashioned from thousands of stitches using a straight-stitch quilting technique. The piece is finished with a yarn edge that give the piece a fun look and is created on top of a stiff batting that allows it to sit on an easel, be propped on a shelf, or hung on the wall with loops attached on the back. I hope you enjoy the chilly landscape without getting chilled. This landscape is inspired by artist Deborah O'Hare. This item measures approximately 5-5.5 x 12 inches.
