 Did you know what the colors of the Ukraine flag represent? The blue represents the sky, streams and mountains, and the yellow represents the golden wheat fields and richness of the earth. 
 
This Ukraine Sunflower was created from the old traditional Snow Ball Block. I added petals and, extended the background for a larger sky to surround the sunflower. I used meandering free motion quilting to represent the seeds at the center of the flower, and I free motion quilted wavy lines to simulate the wind on the back ground. I use 100% cotton fabric and batting. There is a hanging sleeve and dowel rod for hanging. Because it is 100% cotton, do NOT hang it in direct sun. Quilting fabric is not made to withstand sun damage so be cautious where you display you art piece.  Size: 8 1/2" x 15 1/2".  Fabrics may vary slightly due to the high demand for this product.  Allow three weeks to create this unique piece for you.
